Blue Haven, a Chief Cares Mission, their most ambitious and generous philanthropic endeavor to date, is the 501(c)(3) designated to house, lead and expand the recovery work in Western, NC and beyond. Founded by Eric and Katherine and powered by community, Blue Haven was created with a simple but powerful intention: to serve those in need and strengthen communities through compassion, action, and long-term investment. Blue Haven’s vision is to establish a blueprint for community preservation, where those who dedicate their lives to serving others are rewarded, and therefore enabled to nurture roots, create stability, and help their communities thrive.
The Chief Cares Charitable Fund was established by Eric and Katherine Church in 2013 to serve those in need and strengthen communities through compassion, action, and long-term investment. To date, the Fund has delivered over $8 million in grants to causes close to Eric and Katherine's hearts.
